The following information was gathered by my grandmother, Lucille Mildred Foster, over the course of many years.  I have tried to duplicate the formatting that she used as much as possible.  Links will take you to my formatted tables.  If you find any names that match your own history, please contact me at chadlupkes@earthlink.net

Aielt Lupkes (1891-1946)

Funeral services were held Saturday Sept. 14. at the St. John Lutheran Church for Aielt Lupkes with Rev. E.C. Hallstein Officiating.

Aielt Lupkes was born Feb. 3, 1891 at Ackley, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. O.U. Lupkes.  He came to Wheaton when he was 10 years old.

In 1913 he was married to Elsie Block to which union was born two children, Bernice and Carl.

Mr. Lupkes has been prominent in all organizations of the township, he was director of the Shipping Association and also a member of the Township Road Board.

His death occured at 1:10 Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1946.  He was preceeded in death by his mother in 1893 and by his father in 1942.

Besides his wife and children, Bernice of Long Beach, Calif. and Carl and family of International Falls he leaves to mourn eleven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were all nephews, Fred U. Lupkes, Melvern Siefert, Fred Lupkes, Albert Lupkes, Archie Barkhoff and Wayne Lupkes.

Burial was at the German Lutheran Cemetery Wheaton, Minnesota.
